    Description
    The Kindergarten PE curriculum is accomplished by student’s participation in sequential and developmentally appropriate activities selected by the teachers from the suggested facilitating activities. The teachers will focus on and are not limited to, locomotor and non-locomotor skills, general space awareness, manipulative skills, health related fitness, heart rate, decision making, problem solving, risk taking, sportsmanship and safety.

Details
KPE01Health-related Fitness
Throughout the school year, students will learn health-related fitness concepts and how it relates to their healthy bodies.
KPE02Health-enhancing Levels of Physical Activity
Students will participate in a variety of activities that will increase and/or enhance their level of physical activity.  Students will monitor heart rate.
KPE03Personal and social responsabilities
Throughout the school year, students will exhibit personal and social behavior that respects self and others in physical activity settings.   
KPE04Locomotor and Non-locomotor skills
 In this unit, students will participate in a variety of activities that will increase and/or enhance their level of physical activity.  Students will monitor heart rate. 
KPE05Manipulative Skills
In this unit, students will participate in a variety of activities that will increase the development of sport skills. These activities develop specialized motor skills, particularly visual–tactile coordination
KPE06Rhythmic and Dance activities
This unit will utilize timing, pacing and beat recognition with a variety of physical activities.
