    Description
    American Sign Language (ASL) is an introduction to the most widely used sign language in the United States.
    • Students will develop an understanding of similarities and differences between the Deaf and Hearing communities
    • Students will study the fundamentals of ASL to provide them with the skills necessary to have everyday conversations and interactions with other ASL users.
    • Students will learn about the Deaf community and develop their language abilities by exploring ta variety of thematic units.



    Note: This curriculum was written prior to the 2014-2015 school year. It is scheduled to be rewritten following the Rockwood Curriculum Schedule.
