About Rockwood Curriculum

Rockwood is dedicated to high levels of student achievement. The Curriculum Department works to ensure all students are college and career ready by supporting teachers in the development and delivery of a rigorous curriculum.
We will continue to grow as strong educational leaders who ensure Rockwood's curriculum and instructional practices equip students to thrive in a global society.

The curriculum and instruction department is committed to working with all stakeholders to design and implement a curriculum that:

  • Challenges and teaches all students the rigorous knowledge and skills necessary for the world in which they will live.
  • Empowers all students to be critical thinkers, enthusiastic readers, skillful researchers and ethical users and producers of information.
  • Enables all students to apply learned concepts across content areas.
  • Encourages all students to investigate multiple viewpoints and construct and defend arguments based upon evidence.

We will provide training for district personnel on best practice and current research that guarantees the fidelity of Rockwood's curriculum implementation and assessment practices.
