Rockwood Curriculum and the Standards
Educational standards provide clear goals for student learning. Standards spell out what students are expected to learn in each grade and each subject.  We believe it's important that families know exactly what their child should learn by each grade level - no matter what school their child attends.

There’s a difference between standards and curriculum. Standards are the goal; curriculum is how we reach the goal.

In Rockwood, our foundation of educational leadership is built upon a solid continuum of learning activities that include the requirements of state and national standards. We align with the Missouri Learning Standards, and use the latest in educational research and standards developed by the leading associations in the field.

This approach prepares our students for a competitive global society where their success is dependent upon meeting and exceeding standards of excellence.
